Hi Esther, glad that you were able to do your homework. You're very good for that. But about the Haiku Esther, you did a few mistake. You're correct that it's a three-lined poem. And the pattern is 5,7,5, right? And that 5,7, 5 are syllables. We're counting the syllables. What you did was words. You did 5 words in first and last line and 7 words in the middle. You should count the syllables Esther. When you say syllable it is a unit of organization for a sequence of speech sounds. For example, the word water is composed of two syllables: wa and ter. In the example that you made, in the first line, (There was a beautiful tulip),there are 8 syllables. In the second line, (A man who don't watch out the tulip, he droped his macaron.), there are 15 syllables. And in the last line, (Oops! The tulip was break.) there are 6 syllables. Take a look at the example that I made. Refreshing and cool, love is a sweet summer rain that washes the world. I want you to make another example of Haiku.
