The Oreo Trending Vending Machine debuted recently at the South by Southwest festival in Texas in the United States. According to Mondelez International, the company that produces Oreo cookies, it is an innovative distribution process that uses experimental 3D-printing technology. The vending machine prints out cookies to order with two built-in 3D printers. The most interesting part is that people can watch their cookies being built in the machine. The machine lifts up a cookie. Then, it puts some cream on it in four different patterns. Customers can choose from 12 flavors and colors of cream, including lemon, peppermint, and gingerbread, among others.¡°We realized how much our customers love the various flavors, so we wanted to provide something that allows people to customize their cookies,¡± said Bonin Bough, the vice president of global media at Mondelez.
