It started when Percy dreamed his friend Grover being chased by something. After that and his friend Tyson was attacked by Lastrygonians, but Percy's friend Annabeth appeared and helped him defeat them. While reading that part, After they beat the Lastrygonians, Annabeth, Percy and Tyson go to Camp Half-blood because Annabeth had nightmares about it getting destroyed. When they get there, the find the camp invaded by two Colchis bulls. So they fight with them and finally win against them. After that, they discover that the tree that guards the camp from monsters got poisoned, so Annabeth tells the new camp director, Tantalus that they need to find the Golden fleece in order to save the camp. So, Percy, Tyson and Annabeth go on a quest. Right after they start, they meet Luke which is basically the main villain in the book, and they barely escape. After they escape, they accidently go into Monster Donut Shop which is a shop filled with monsters, but then a ship saves them. Then they find out it was Clarrise's ship who was assigned to save them. After that, they find out that the Golden Fleece is guarded by Polyphemus who is a Cyclops. The they go to his island and they defeat Polyphemus, save Grover and get the Golden Fleeece and they revive the tree, but the fleece worked too well and Thalia, a child of Zeus who was killed and turned into a tree.
