Then, Annabeth, Grover and Thalia showed up to help, but even they were overpowered by the manticore, but the Hunters of Artemis showed up and they kill the manticore, but at the last second, the manticore grabbed Annabeth and jumped down a cliff. Afterwards, Bianca joins the Hunters, and Artemis orders the Hunters to go to Camp Half-Blood, because Artemis needed to hunt an dangerous monster. After Percy, Grover, Thalia, Nico and the Hunters arrive at Camp Half-Blood, Zoe, who is one of the Hunters, had a dream about Artemis being captured by someone. So, Percy, Zoe, Bianca, Thalia and Grover go on a quest to save Artemis. However, Percy and the rest of the team encounter the Nemean Lion, and they manage to defeat it. Then, at the forge of Hephaestus, they encounter Talos, and Bianca dies while defeating it. Then, they go to Hoover Dam and meet Rachel, who is a mortal who can see through mist, which is an magical thing that prevents mortals from seeing monsters or Celestrial Bronze weapons. When Percy and his friends reach the Snack bar to get food, some skeleton warriors attack Percy and his friends, but they get saved by flying automatons that helped them reach San Fransisco, where Artemis is. When they arrive at San Fransisco they find Nereus, who is believed to know anything, and they ask what kind of monster Artemis was finding, and he says that it is the Ophiotaurus, which was right next to them. Then Dr. Thorn, the manticore, attacks them, but Percy contacts Mr.D who was really Dionysus, and he helps them. Afterwards, Grover goes back to Camp with the Ophiotaurus and the rest goes to Mount Tam, where the Titan Atlas lives, and they fight with him and saves Artemis and Annabeth, who had also been captured by Atlas, but, Zoe dies. Afterwards, Thalia joins the Hunters, but Nico who found out Bianca is dead becomes angry and makes a crack in the ground which proves he is the son of Hades.
