When I entered, the first thing that I could see was on sale sign shines above the classic novels corner. Actually 'Ann of greengables' is my favorite classic literature. I had read this before several times, so I didn't hesitate to pick this up. - ' Why, because it sounds so nice and romantic, just as if I were a heroine in a book, you know. I am so fond of romantic things and a graveyard full of buried hope is about as romantic a thing as one can imagine, isn't it? I rather glad I have one. The dictionary meaning of 'romantic' is a pleasurable emotional feeling of love for another person, but I redefined the meaning of 'romantic' based on Ann's experiences. I think romantic hasn't to be an emotional feeling of love but the emotional feeling of happiness. Like aflutter about future or daily, but new life (Like Ann did.)...so it could be all different whoever it is. No matter what kind of thing it is, if it makes me happy and satisfied. I think I can express that feeling into the word 'romantic.'. Anyway, from the book's beginning to end she is always thankful and satisfying with everything she got and every situation she's in. In my personal opinion, this is the most important moral lesson. Be thankful for all I've got now. I already got plenty of things, but still I'm not satisfied. So after I read this, I make myself a promise to be a thankful person.
