The books starts with Jason Grace waking in a school bus, not able to remember his past. He finds himself between Piper McLean and Leo Valdez who were apparently friends of his, and when they arrive at the Grand Canyon which was apparently their destination, Dylan, a classmate of theirs, turns into a storm spirit and attacks them, but Coach Hedge attacks the storm spirit, but gets kidnaapped by it. Then Annabeth Chase and Butch Walker appear and take Jason, Leo and Piper to Camp Half-Blood where Leo gets claimed by Hephaestus, Jason by Zeus and Piper by Aphrodite. Leo who is both immune to fire and can conjure fire, finds a bronze dragon Festus and revives it. Then, the three of them are given a quest to free Hera, After meeting Boreas, Khione and Midas, they get Coach Hedge back and they also get tp know that Gaea is the main enemy. Then they defeat Enceladus who was keeping Piper's dad as captive, and frees Piper's Dad. Then they free Hera who defeats Porphyrion. My favorite part was when Leo tamed Festus the dragon because I liked the part when the dragon agreed to help Leo.
