It started with Percy Jackson, a demigod who lost his memory, getting attacked by two gorgons Stheno and Euryale, while taking Juno, a goddess, to a place called Camp Jupiter. Then by the help of two demigods, they kill the two gorgons, and Juno introduces him as a son of Neptune. Then the two demigods, Frank Zhang and Hazel Levesque, introduces him to Reyna, the praetor of the camp and Octavian, the augur of the camp. Then Percy meets Nico di Angelo, the son of Pluto , who tells him about Gaea, who was apparently the major villian. Then at the war games a girl named Gwen gets killed, but for some reason, she wakes up, alive. Then Mars appears and tells him that Thanatos, the god of Death, is chained by the giant Alcoyoneus in Alaska, and that Percy and Frank should be in the three that will do the quest, and the Frank choses Hazel as their final member. On their journey, they meet Phineas to get information about Alcoyoneus's lair, and in the progress, they befriend a harpy named Ella. Then they go to Alaska and while Frank destroy's Thanatos's chains, Hazel and Percy fight Alcoyoneus and his army. Then Frank finds the secrets of his ancestors which was the power to change into other animals, and he turns into an elephant and he kills the giant. Then they return to camp and fight the giant Polybotes and Percy kills him with cooperating with Terminus, the god of boundaries. He goes on a quest with Frank Zhang, son of Mars, and Hazel Levesque, daughter of Pluto, to save Thanatos, Pluto's lieutenant and the deity of death. He succeeds and at the end of the book leads the Roman camp into battle against Gaea's forces and is made praetor by the campers.
