다음은 오늘 수업에서 배울 신문 기사입니다. 강사님의 지시에 따라 함께 발음 연습을 하면서 그 의미를 파악해보세요. “Repeat after me”라는 말이 나오면, 강사님의 말을 따라 한 문장씩 따라 읽어 보세요. 두 번 반복하게 됩니다.

Who Built the Eiffel Tower?           

The Eiffel Tower is an important symbol of France. It is the tallest building in Paris. The beautiful tower is 324 meters tall. Till 1930, the Eiffel Tower was the tallest building in the world.
So, who built it? It was built by an engineer named Gustave Eiffel. It was opened to the public on March 31, 1889. Since then, many tourists from all over the world come to see it every year.
The Eiffel Tower is open 365 days a year. Why don’t you visit the beautiful tower during your vacation?

(너는 서울에 있다. 너는 지난 달에 서울에 있었다.)
They are happy. They were happy last summer.
(그들은 행복하다. 그들은 지난 여름에 행복했다.)
