When Did People Start Giving Chocolate on Valentine’s Day?    

We celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 14 every year. People in many other countries celebrate the day, too. On this day, people give chocolate to their loved ones.
This tradition started around in the late 1800s in England. Today, chocolate is still the most popular gift for Valentine’s Day. In fact, more than 35 million boxes of chocolate are sold on that day in America alone! That’s a lot of chocolate!
