Part 5는 문제를 포함한 전화 음성 메시지를 듣고 그 문제 따른 해결책을 제시해야 한다. 단순히 메시지를 요약하여 전달한다고 해서 고득점을 받을 수 없다. 그에 따른 적절한 해결책을 제시해야 높은 점수를 받을 수 있다. 실제 시험장에서는 필기도구를 사용할 수 없으므로, 내용을 기억하고 해결책과 함께 요약해서 말하는 것이 중요하다.

3. 고득점 노하우 3
- Part 5에서는 1 분 동안 나오는 전화 음성 메시지를 듣고 해결책을 제시해야 하는데, 그 것을 이해하지 못한다면 전혀 답변을 할 수 없다. 또한, 키워드를 캐치하여 전체적인 내용을 파악하는 연습을 하는 것이 좋다.
4. 질문의 유형 파악하기
Hello. This is Serena Donahue from Asian Computing Services. I reserved the conference room in your hotel for my company’s, um, shareholder meeting tomorrow. This reservation has been confirmed, but, uh,(상황) I just heard from my boss that the conference room is being renovated and it won’t be finished until sometime this week. I can’t believe that someone from your hotel failed to, uh, to contact me regarding these renovations. If the conference room is unavailable, what are we supposed to do about our, um, our meeting? Hello, this is James calling from the warehouse in southern California. My staff here told me some bad news.
