Hi Shin, this is Melanie from the department store. I’m at the main entrance right now, and they are currently remodeling it. The problem is that they ran short of some supplies, and they will have to extend construction for three more days. According to the construction manager, we have no choice. This conflicts with our grand reopening. We are supposed to reopen in two days. We already have a sign outside saying when we will reopen. Please call me back and let me know what to do.

Hi Melanie, this is Shin. Thanks for letting me know about the situation. I think we have no choice but to move the grand reopening to three days from now. We need to make sure that the construction will finish on time, because we can’t move back the grand reopening a third time. As for the sign outside that says we will open in two days, let’s just post a notice with the change of dates as well as an apology. I’m sure by the time we reopen, customers will have forgotten about it. If there’s anything else, call me back anytime.
